Serum T.E.W.L. is an intensely nourishing serum formulated with a high concentration of lipid-replenishing oils designed to restore and fortify the skin’s natural barrier. This powerful formula targets transepidermal water loss (TEWL), a key factor in skin dehydration, by reinforcing the lipid matrix of the epidermis to lock in moisture and enhance hydration retention.

By repairing and protecting the skin’s outer layer, Serum T.E.W.L. provides exceptional comfort and defense against environmental aggressors, preventing dryness, irritation, and sensitivity. Its rich, yet non-greasy texture deeply nourishes even the driest, most compromised skin, helping to restore softness, suppleness, and resilience.

For optimal results, Serum T.E.W.L. is recommended to be used in combination with Creme Dermo-RL. While the serum replenishes essential lipids and reinforces the skin barrier, Crème Dermo-RL complements this action by providing lasting hydration, soothing properties, and further strengthening of the hydrolipidic film. Together, they form a comprehensive skincare duo ideal for very dry, lipid-depleted, or sensitive skin needing intensive nourishment and protection.

Skin science

The initials TEWL stand for “transepidermal water loss”. This physiological phenomenon consists of the passive diffusion and evaporation of water through the layers of the epidermis. When the skin barrier is altered, these flows increase, resulting in epidermal water loss.

How to use Serum T.E.W.L.

1: After using Crème Dermo-RL, apply 4 drops instead of the usual Finishing Serum to the entire face, neck and décolleté and massage in with fingertips until completely absorbed
2: As an intensive treatment: 2 to 3 times a week, morning and/or night, for about 28 days

Expert tips

This serum is supposed to be blended with Creme Dermo-RL or Creme Masque Vernix VG to create the ultimate regenerating and protecting shield for skin types with a damaged or impaired skin barrier. Add a few drops to your cream and blend it in your palm before applying it the face, neck and the décolleté.
