Why we chose GlycoAla® Bio Microneedling

At Cult Clinic, we have always believed in creating a bridge between advanced technology and natural treatment methods. GlycoAla® embodies this philosophy perfectly.

The treatment is based on marine microneedles, known as spicules, extracted from freshwater sponges. These create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. Unlike traditional microneedling, there are no metal needles, machines or invasive procedures involved. The spicules are gently massaged into the skin, stimulating the skin’s own natural cell renewal through a biological process.

At the same time, a nutrient-rich blend of active ingredients is delivered deep into the skin.

The ingredients that make the difference

Spongilla Spicules (marine microneedles): Stimulate skin renewal and activate microcirculation through a biological process.

Bakuchiol: A plant-based alternative to retinol that supports cell renewal without irritating the skin.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Strengthens the skin barrier, reduces inflammation and helps minimize hyperpigmentation.

Which skin types is the treatment suitable for?

The treatment is suitable for virtually all skin types and skin tones. Each treatment is tailored to your individual skin needs, making it suitable for concerns such as pigmentation, hormonal breakouts and even sensitive skin.

How often should the treatment be performed?

For maximum and long-lasting results, we recommend a course of 3–4 treatments approximately 2 weeks apart.

If you simply want to refresh your skin before a special occasion or maintain your overall skin health, individual treatments are of course also an excellent option.

Is there any downtime?

Recovery time is minimal compared to traditional microneedling treatments.

Your skin may feel slightly warm and you may experience mild redness during the first 24 hours, similar to a mild sunburn.

It is completely normal for the skin to feel slightly prickly or tingly when touched during the first 24–48 hours. This simply means the marine spicules are continuing to work within the skin.

After a few days, your skin may feel slightly dry and begin to gently flake as the cell renewal process gets underway.

What should you avoid after the treatment?

To give your skin the best possible conditions to recover and absorb the active ingredients, keep the following in mind during the first 24–48 hours:

• Avoid direct sun exposure and always use sunscreen (SPF 50).
• Avoid intense exercise, saunas, hot baths and activities that cause heavy sweating during the first 24 hours.
• Do not use strong acids, retinol or exfoliating products for the following week.
• Avoid touching your face unnecessarily and wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to help keep the microscopic channels clean.

After each treatment, you will receive a full-size gel product to use morning and evening, and as needed, to help optimize your results.
